Lyndhaven Champions Tourney

An official Society for Creative Anachronism event.

Dust rises in the distance on all horizons, as the chariots of warriors converge on a field of honour at the confluence of two mighty rivers in the heart of Lyndhaven: it is almost time for the Shire Tourney of Champions! Come join us and see who emerges victorious on the tourney fields for Rattan, Archery and Fencing.

Two contestants with rattan swords & board at the 2006 Shire ChampionshipArts & Sciences: Our gentles are invited to participate in an Arts & Sciences display. Please bring your completed and/or works in progress. Although not a formal competition, there will be a "populace's choice" award.

A modest dayboard will be served at noon and a delectable feast served at 5:30.

Limited accommodations are available:
• (Shared) There are a number of beds in the barracks (CFB Gagetown) available at $9/suite. Each barrack room is segregated by gender and sleeps 8 people.
• (Private) There is a limited number of suites available at the cost of $29/person. Note: Age restriction are in effect for base accommodations. Children under the age of 14 are not allowed to stay in the barracks. Youth 14 years and over must be supervised at all times by their parent or guardian.
• Additionally, there are several local hotels in the Town of Oromocto.

Reservations/Site fees (incl. feast): Adult member: $12. Children 5 & under: Free. A Non-member $4 surcharge will be in effect. Preregistration may be sent to the autocrat. All fees are in Canadian dollars. Make checks payable to: SCA-Shire of Lyndhaven.

Directions: Due to some construction at CFB Gagetown, an alternate route to the lodge should be used. Here is the easiest route, if one enters the base via the main gate. At the first intersection, turn left onto Champlain. Follow Champlain to its end. Turn right onto Ganong. The road to the lodge will be on your left, at the sign for Camp Argonaut. Those entering the north gate will be unaffected.
