above/ground press backlist: (part seven)‏‏‏‏‏‏

by rob mclennan

Given the above/ground press archive is together for the first time, I've been digging through boxes and discovering titles I thought either completely out-of-print or very close. It was suggested to me that perhaps I should start offering various titles to the public, simply to see what might appeal (I emailed six prior lists out already; further lists to come). To order, send cheques (add $1 for postage; outside Canada, add $2) to: rob mclennan, 2423 Alta Vista Drive, Ottawa ON K1H 7M9 or paypal at www.robmclennan.blogspot.com:

Džo in Slovenia

All rooms in this hostel are named after a local legend. My room is "Dog-Eating Catfish". Yesterday, I was challenged to write a poem about this legendary catfish in a nearby lake where catfish the size of me are caught. Something of the Legend is below.

A Celje pedestrian street with flower "tree" that I like. In the farmers' produce market they are still selling pansies in bloom and the sell locally-grown lettuce year-round.

I love this building corner turret.

Some pieces of Roman ruins unearthed in Celje.

Student-made poster for my presentation yesterday at gimnazija v Celju.

This evening, 13 Oct 2015, at 7 pm, I appear at The Living Room in Maribor to meet with University of Maribor graduate students and professors to discuss writing poetry, to read some of my poems, and to drink a pivo or two.

Tomorrow, I will be back in Celje for an 8 pm reading with two Slovene poets at MC-Celje.

Thursday afternoon, I read and discuss my poetry at the University of Ljubljana ...
