atop curbside rainwater and pavement
at the corner of york and brunswick
streets in downtown fredericton
into a storm sewer = into the st john river
i've a problem with that
some would/will say this
isn't a major spill
but add up all the little ones
in this city
or along this river
how much is spilled?
how much is too much?
walking leaves less
of a footprint
than the manufacture
of my bicycle
or the camera used
to photograph this spill
or the computer used
to post this blog
or the electricity needed
to suspend the web
around the world
